Kingston Lions Club Foundation

The Kingston Lions Club Foundation, Inc. is a not-for-profit charitable organization established in 1986 and is recognized by New York State and the Internal Revenue Service as such. The purpose of the Lions Foundation is to raise money and disburse it for charitable uses. The Foundation is governed by nine board members elected from the Kingston Lions CIub, a service organization in Kingston, New York. The Kingston Lions Club Foundation was formed to receive tax deductible gifts from individuals and businesses, as allowed by law, for charitable purposes. The Foundation bases its grants on service to the community and need, Over the years, the Foundation has donated more than $136,000.00 to many area organizations. DONATIONS The Foundation is seeking support from individuals and companies with monetary gifts or property, memorials and bequests. The Foundation encourages individuals to consider bequests when preparing their wills. The Kingston Lions Club Foundation will insure that money given for charitable purposes is used in that manner. The Board of Directors are all volunteers and there is no paid staff. All administrative expenses of the Foundation are paid by the Kingston Lions Club. All money received from donors will go for charitable works. The Foundation relieves donors of the time it takes, to review; many projects for worthiness. Money given to the Foundation can be earmarked for specific types of grants (i.e., sight and hearing).
